Lead sheets
Lead Sheets Description:
Lead sheeting is used across industries for many reasons including soundproofing, corrosion protection and medical equipment. Notably, lead sheeting is used to protect people from harmful radiation in x-rays, PET and CT scans and much more. It can also be built into walls, doors and frames to protect medical personnel from gamma rays.
The properties of lead which make it an excellent shielding material are its density, high atomic number, high level of stability, ease of fabrication, high degree of flexibility in application, and its availability. The following is a discussion of these properties as related to the criteria of selecting a shield material.
Lead Sheets Description:
Lead sheet is typically used in conjunction with plywood to make a radiation protective wall. In most cases, 2mm lead equivalent will be used for the majority of the imaging room. Nuclear Medicine and PETCT, on the other hand, will necessitate additional calculations based on class H physicist calculations.

A layer of radiation shielding will be created on brick walls by applying barium plastering. Whereas the price is less expensive than lead sheet. There will be a 10-year life span.

Lead door
Lead Door Description:
Lead Lined wood doors shield against the transmission of harmful radiation and are typically used in medical settings, airports, and industrial applications. The doors feature interior layers of particleboard and lead with a wood or laminate exterior.
Application:
Lead doors will be installed in all diagnostic imaging rooms, with a 2mm lead equivalent specification. The thickness of the lead door will be determined by a Class H physicist for Nuclear Medicine and PET.

Lead window
Lead Window Description:
Lead window allows the radiographer to see both rooms from the control room without using any mechanical or electronic switches since the glass itself prevents the hazardous Xray from passing through.
Application:
Lead window will be installed in all diagnostic imaging rooms, with a 2mm lead equivalent specification. The thickness of the lead window will be determined by a Class H physicist for Nuclear Medicine and PET.

Smart glass
Smart glass Description:
Smart glass, as its name suggests, is operated by a simple electrical switch, controlling the opacity of the glass from clear to translucent. Smart glass works on an electrical principle switching from frosted to clear when power is applied.

EMC Meditech is a specialized and professional contractor that provides comprehensive project consulting, architecture, interior design, AutoCAD, fabrication, carpentry, renovation, construction, and equipment pre-installation (M&E, C&S) for the medical industry in Malaysia.
After completing tertiary education, Wong's first job was with a healthcare service company that provided biomedical services to both private and governmental hospitals. He spent three years at this firm before joining GE Healthcare as Malaysia Project Manager.
Since 2011, Wong has overseen the complete project execution portfolio for both private and public hospitals in Malaysia. Pre-sales, wing-to-wing project execution, and final project handover to clients are among his tasks.
Wong was the only Project Manager at GE Healthcare who managed more than 60% of all imaging projects in Malaysia from 2011 to 2022. He has extensive expertise handling imaging projects ranging from mobile x-rays to MRIs and CT scanners, as well as multi-modality transactions. During his employment with the company, he has effectively developed a good corporate reputation.

With all of these credentials, he is one step ahead of the industry norm, providing customers with a seamless project execution experience.

Gary had been in charge of many aspects of managing various projects. He collaborated closely with the Project manager at both public and private hospitals to create project schedules, ensure team members had the tools they needed to execute tasks, and coordinate communicate with stakeholders about project developments. As a complicated multimodality project that Gary was given, it was critical to be cognizant of the specifics and to listen to input from users and stakeholders on a constant basis. Gary’s efforts to organize early input ensure that the complex project is always delivered ahead of schedule and with substantial quality and workmanship.
Gary has continually committed to attending all stakeholder project progress meetings with users and stakeholders in order to obtain first hand knowledge to guarantee effective communication and efficient execution Gary is also acknowledged by his customer as a trustworthy civil works expert with unrivalled craftsmanship. Aside from being a civil consultant, Gary is aways expanding his construction expertise by taking CIDB classed, for example. Working as a Senior Construction Manager in construction industry will help Gary to broaden his skills and contribute to his ultimate objective of providing the hospital with superior finishing quality.
